Cuts Against Cancer Haircut-a-thon

Howard Hospital Foundation, which provides philanthropic support to Howard County General Hospital, will hold its CUTS Against Cancer Annual Haircut-a-thon Sunday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Medical Pavilion at Howard County (10710 Charter Drive in Columbia).

Participants will receive haircuts, manicures, seated massages, facial waxing and more from professionals who work at Howard County salons. Funds raised will benefit the Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource Center at Howard County General Hospital. This year’s event is in honor of the life of John Mason of Mason & Friends.

The Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource Center, celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, helps people diagnosed with cancer and their families through counseling, stress and symptom management, care planning, system navigation, education, aesthetic services and resource identification. The center connects patients and families with essential community, state and national resources providing more than 7,000 services annually.
