Demolition Underway at Red Pearl on Columbia Lakefront

A new restaurant by popular Baltimore restaurateurs Tony Foreman and Cindy Wolf will take the Red Pearl's place.

Another piece of the new-look Downtown Columbia is under construction.

Demolition is underway at the former location of the Red Pearl on the Columbia Lakefront to make way for the latest restaurant by Baltimore restaurateurs Cindy Wolf and Tony Foreman.

Scenes from inside posted on HowChow Blog reveal a large gutted space and even, ironically, the old woks of the former Chinese restaurant laying on the ground.

The demolition will make room for the construction of a new restaurant by Foreman and Wolf, the owners of Baltimore hotspots Charleston, Petit Louis Bistro and Pazo.

The Foreman and Wolf Restaurant Group announced they signed a 10-year lease for the 6,900 square foot space from Howard Hughes Co. in June.

A spokesperson for Foreman and Wolf said the company has a partial permit to work at the space, but has not set a construction schedule. The spokesperson said they hope to open the new restaurant before the end of the year.
