Douglas Lent, Neighbor

Douglas Lent is the Communications Officer at the American Red Cross of the Chesapeake Region. In this role, he works night and day to make sure Marylanders know that the Red Cross is much more than “blood and floods.” He has responded to numerous local disasters including countless home fires, the massive Dundalk water main break and the tornado that ravaged neighborhoods in Towson and Baltimore last year. Doug has also traveled to other parts of the U.S. to help with Red Cross disaster recovery efforts such as wildfires in San Diego and floods and tornadoes in Iowa. He also spends a lot of time making virtual friends through the Red Cross Twitter and Facebook pages.
