Head-On Collision in Highland Sends Two to Shock Trauma

Both drivers are currently listed in "stable" condition, according to Howard County Police.

  Howard County Police are investigating a collision that occurred around 3 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of the Clarksville Pike and Briaridge Court in Highland, that sent two people to Shock Trauma. The driver of a 2011 Chevrolet Aveo crossed the double yellow lines and collided head-on with a 1999 GMC Yukon carrying one occupant, according to a press release from the Howard County Police Department Preliminary investigation shows the Chevrolet driver's "failure to drive right of center" was the primary cause of the collision, according to police.
