Burglars Strike Columbia Jewelry Store by Smashing Wall: Crime Roundup

Columbia Commercial Robbery/burglary Police say burglars broke a back window to Concentra, on the 6600 block of Dobbin Road, on Jan. 21 at 3:30 a.m. The burglars then used sledgehammers to break through the wall and gain access to J&D Jewelers, next door, according to police. Once inside the jewelry store, police say the burglars used a pick axe to break open jewelry display cases and steal an undetermined amount of jewelry. Police say a man entered the Exxon gas station on the 8200 block of Snowden River Parkway at about 1:45 a.m. on Jan. 19 with a yellow bandana over his face and showing a knife.
