Week Ahead in Weather: Sweet Relief

The National Weather Service is forecasting milder temperatures this week.

  When are highs in the 80s considered a relief? When temperatures the week before shot up to almost 100 degrees and averaged about 92. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures are not expected to hit 90 degrees until the end of the week. Until then:  Today there is a slight chance of rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Otherwise, skies should be partly sunny with temperatures reaching the high 80s. Tonight there’s a 40 percent chance of rain and temperatures should drop to the low 70s. There’s a 50 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms all day tomorrow. Week Ahead in Weather: A Mixed-up Forecast

Rain, sun, hot, mild -- the forecast is all over the place this week.

Curly-headed people, take note – temperatures are all over the place this week, but expect it to be humid and maybe rainy all week long. The National Weather Service is forecasting temperatures up to the mid-90s for the week ahead, and possible rain most days, starting today, with a 30 percent chance of rain and maybe thunderstorms. Temperatures should be mild, though, rising to just the mid-70s. Temperatures should drop to the mid-60s at night, and there will still be a chance of rain.  Temperatures should rise about 10 degrees Tuesday, peaking in the mid-80s. There’s a lesser chance of rain throughout the day, but NWS is predicting cloudy skies all day and at night, when temperatures drop to about 70 degrees.  The heat is expected to …
