Today in Columbia: Looking for Local Leap Day Babies

Yesterday's appeal for folks born Feb. 29 brought an enthusiastic outpouring from across the globe — but not Howard County!

Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm." — The National Weather Service Leap Day Birthdays: Imagine my excitement when responses poured in yesterday to my request for comments from Leap Day birthday folks. Turns out that people with Leap Day birthdays — from all across the world — are a pretty organized bunch! Raenell Dawn, a cofounder of an organization called the Honor Society of Leap Year Day Babies, put the word out to the membership that I was looking for folks to talk to for a story.
