Clyde's of Columbia re-opened Monday after undergoing $4 million in renovations over the past three months. The new space has an updated interior, renovated restrooms and an upgraded kitchen. The restaurant began renovations after announcing a new 10-year lease with Howard Hughes Co. at the location on the Lakefront. Clyde's posted the above photos on the restaurant's Facebook page. Once renovations begin, the lakefront restaurant will be closed for eight weeks.
Clyde's of Columbia will close on Feb. 4 to begin $4 million in renovations and will be closed for eight weeks afterwards, according to Clyde's corporate offices. The popular lakefront restaurant announced in October it would be making improvements to the kitchen, bathrooms, decor and patio as part of the renovation process. The Tomato Palace will also be closed during renovations as it shares a kitchen with Clyde's, according to Tom Meyer, Clyde's president, who announced the renovations last year. At the time, Meyer said the restrooms at Clyde's were in "dire need" of renovations.
