Oakland Mills High Principal Responds to Students' Arrest

Principal Frank V. Eastham Jr. wrote about the announcement that four Oakland Mills High students had been arrested for attempted murder.

Principal Frank V. Eastham Jr. said Oakland Mills High has taken measures to ensure the school is not disrupted by Tuesday's announcement that four students were arrested and charged with the attempted murder of a cab driver. In a letter to parents, he wrote that "maintaining a safe and orderly school environment is of the highest priority." The four students who are charged in relation to a March 1 incident, in which they reportedly attempted to rob a cab driver, were arrested last week, according to police. The alleged crime occurred sometime around 10:45 p.m., said police. Principal Evaluating Safety Procedures at Wilde Lake High

James LeMon said the school is continuing to improve safety procedures at the school after an alleged rape occurred inside the school on Monday.

The principal of Wilde Lake High School wrote in his second letter to parents in as many days that the school is evaluating safety procedures in the wake of an alleged rape reported at the school on Monday. "We will maintain a safe and orderly environment for all students at Wilde Lake High School with our continued vigilance and alertness," wrote Principal James LeMon. He said the school will monitor the 31 cameras placed around the school as well as continue to enforce the following regulations: In his letter he also thanked the school's community for their support after the incident. The real problem is that when there are after School activities it's free for all any and everybody can enter the school without being asked for I.d. where are the admin staff? Where are the teachers?
