The Tennessee Titans weren't very successful but Columbia's Zach Brown played well.
Last year, Wilde Lake High School graduate Zach Brown was selected in the second round of the NFL draft by the Tennessee Titans, 52nd overall. Entering the season, his speed was described as his greatest asset. Brown ran a 4.44 40-yard dash at the NFL combine, one of the fastest times ever ran by a linebacker. In high school, Brown was the Maryland state champion in the 100- and 200- yard dash. His former football coach at Wilde Lake, Doug Duvall, said that if football didn’t work out, Brown could be an Olympian in the decathlon because he was such a great athlete. Fans will get a first real-time look at the Ravens squad Thursday night.
The Baltimore Ravens will face off against the Atlanta Falcons tonight in the first pre-season game for both teams, but not every player expected to start Week 1 will be on the field today. Of course, the biggest loss for the Ravens this offseason was the achilles tendon injury to linebacker Terrell Suggs, who will miss at least a portion of the season. Ed, Once again I will answer about the Baltimore Colts. I was fortunate enough also to travel with the team and that I will never forget. Caroll Rosenbloom (CR) as we called him was a great ownner.
