Construction Near Clark's Elioak on MD 108 to Continue into May

The project to extend water and sewer mains between Eliot's Oak Drive and Centennial Lane is ongoing, says county official.

  Residents traveling during the day on MD 108 near Clark's Elioak Farm have likely noticed the construction going on nearby due to the road being shifted to a single lane. Expect that to continue between Iron Bridge Wine Company and Eliots Oak Road until the end of May, according to Paul Di Marco, a project manager for Howard County Public Works. Flagging operations will continue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as construction takes place near the westbound lane, according to Di Marco. The project, which began in November of 2012, is extending water and sewer service along the street. CA Planning Dog Park for Harper's Choice

The Harper's Choice Village Board approved the plan unanimously on June 5.

  The Columbia Association is planning on constructing a dog park at the Harper’s Choice ball fields, according to CA spokesperson David Greisman. CA staff presented the idea and location for the dog park to the Harper’s Choice Village Board last month and they approved the plan unanimously, according to materials provided by Greisman. Those materials noted parking is already available, that the site is surrounded by other recreational uses to the south and east and Rivendell Road bounds the site to the north, while a woodland buffer exists on the western edge.
