Police: Injured Teen Driver May Have Failed to Stop at Stop Sign

Police say a teenage driver who is in critical condition from injuries sustained in a collision near Mt. Hebron High School Thursday may have failed to stop at a stop sign before driving out in front of a Mack truck. At about 2:20 p.m. on Thursday, police say Jeffrey Conner Sinclair, 18, was driving a Honda Civic out of a Mt. Hebron High School parking lot when he pulled out onto Route 99. Four teenagers were in the car with him, according to police. According to the preliminary report, police say Sinclair may have failed to stop at the stop sign exiting the school parking lot and did not yield to the right of way of the tree removal service truck, which was traveling westbound on Route 99.
