Two Clarksville houses on the same block were the targets of burglaries early Tuesday morning, according to Howard County Police. Sometime before 6 a.m., on the 6500 block of River Clyde Drive, a suspect or suspects cut open a screen on a ground-floor window, according to police. The window was unlocked. According to police, a laptop, passport, digital camera, cash and the keys to two vehicles that were parked in the driveway were stolen from the house. Then, according to police, the keys were used to open the vehicles, where the suspect or suspects stole cash. Armed Robbery - Columbia A male was allegedly assaulted by two unknown males in their late teens to early 20s while walking on the path between Hammond High School and South Columbia Baptist Church on Tuesday around 2:00 p.m. One of the unknown males reportedly displayed a knife during the assault. The victim dropped his headphones during the altercation, which the suspects reportedly took when they fled. Commercial Breaking and Entering - Columbia An unknown suspect allegedly broke into an office building by unknown means near 7000 Columbia Gateway Drive between 5 p.m. on Monday and 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The suspect stole cash from a locked safe. And in Ellicott City, a CVS was allegedly robbed at syringe-point on Wednesday morning.
