Cool Temperatures to Return to Howard County as Week Ends

The week ahead in weather, according to the National Weather Service.

It was a spring-like weekend that saw temperatures rise into the mid-60s, but don't expect it to continue into the week. Rain is expected most of the day Tuesday, with between a quarter and a half inch of precipitation falling, as temperatures will reach a high near 59 and a low of 35 Tuesday night. The rain stops Wednesday as things cool down. Wednesday's high is 53 with a low near 30. Thursday is expected to be sunny, with a high of 45 and low of 31. Snow in Saturday's Forecast for Howard County

One to four inches of snow may fall in parts of Howard County on Dec. 29.

Howard County will get another round of snow before the new year begins, according to the National Weather Service. Forecasters are predicting between 1 to 4 inches to fall on Saturday. Snow will start falling overnight Friday through late Saturday afternoon in Howard County, according to the National Weather Service forecast. The National Weather Service issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the Baltimore-Washington area—including Carroll, Howard and Montgomery counties—which is to continue into Saturday. The Maryland State Highway Administration urges drivers to stay off the roads on Saturday morning, adding that the storm could disrupt traffic along the Interstate 95 corridor.  Crews will likely have the roads mostly cleared by the …
