Don't have plans for Memorial Day? Try one of these activities to help keep you and your family entertained.
Go Fishing! The weather Memorial Day weekend is expected to float around the mid-70s, meaning great fishing weather. DNR reports tiger muskies have been in stocked in the lake since 1995 and there are some now over 36 inches that “provide an explosive fight for anglers who hook into one.” Remember, don’t forget to obtain a fishing license, if you’re older than 16. Piccadilly Circus is coming to the area on April 9. Dismayed with the way in which animals are used as entertainment, Patch commenter Cj Ellie wrote that it was time to "throw animal-act circuses into the trash heap of degrading form of entertainment," likening them to freak shows. Kathie alderman wrote: "They are being shocked and whipped on a regular basis! And what big cats want to sit in cages next to loud blaring speakers??!!" These two aren't alone. Los Angeles may soon be banning the use of circus elephants, according to the New York Times. That would make it the seventh …
