Caregiver Indicted in Abuse of Disabled Man

Video of house manager allegedly striking disabled man posted to YouTube.

A Baltimore group home worker who was identified in a video in which a mentally disabled man is seen being hit and spit upon has been indicted on multiple counts of abuse, neglect and assault by a Howard County grand jury. Donna Everett, 5600 block of Force Road, Baltimore, was arrested in early February after police were made aware of the YouTube video that appears to show her hitting and spitting in the face of a man who was arguing with another patient. The video, in which the camera person can be heard laughing in the background, has since been taken down from YouTube. Everett, 57, was working as a house manager in the group home located in the 6500 block of Quilting Way, Columbia. The home is operated by Emerge Inc., according to …

Police: Caregiver Arrested after Video Surfaces of Her Allegedly Beating Disabled Man in Columbia

A video shows a woman, identified as Everett, beating a man at a group home for disabled individuals in Columbia.

  Howard County police have arrested a Randallstown woman whom they say is shown in a YouTube video beating and spitting in the face of an intellectually disabled man at a Columbia group home where she works. Donna Everett, 57, was arrested by police after the group home's owner, Emerge Inc., identified her in the video. She was working as a house manager, according to police. The home is located in the 6500 block of Quiliting Way in Columbia. In the video, a woman can be seen swinging both of her fists down on the sitting man's head, after bending over and spitting in his face. She also encourages and taunts a 41-year-old disabled woman and resident of the group home to assault the man, according to police. Police charged Everett with …
