North Laurel Armed robbery Two men walking to their car in the 9200 block of Canterbury Riding were confronted by a man displaying a handgun who demanded money around 2 a.m. on April 28. The men gave the armed man money and then fled the scene. Police described the suspect as a black male, late 20s or early 30s, 5-foot-8, 200 pounds, heavy set with a dark complexion who was wearing a large coat. Columbia Indecent Exposure A female was walking in an area between Green Meadow Drive and Little Patuxent Parkway when she saw a man exposing himself around 10:45 a.m. on April 19. Police described the man as a white male in his early 30s, about 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. Residential burglary A video game system and a gold ring were stolen from a residence in the 6400 block of Tauler Court after someone made entry through a laundry room window between April 17 and April 19. Columbia Robbery Two men met an unknown female in a parking lot in the 5600 block of Harpers Farm Road around 8:45 p.m. on April 16. The female asked if the men could walk her home, which they agreed to do. While doing so, one of the men was attacked by 10 to 15 men, according to police. The group of men stole his wallet, cell phone and keys. The victim had minor cuts to his face due to the attack. Residential Burglary Desk drawers were rifled through inside a house in the 7600 block of Sweet Hours Way, but nothing was reported stolen after someone broke in by smashing a front glass door sometime during the day on April 18. Columbia Burglary - Prayer Tabernacle Church Someone stole cash and a video camera from Prayer Tabernacle Church in the 10700 block of Hikcory Ridge Road sometime between April 7 and April 10. Police reported a door was left unsecured to the church. Attempted Robbery Two men arranged to meet an acquaintance in the 5300 block of Old Tucker Row on April 10 around 8:30 p.m. When they arrived they were met by four men in a parking lot. One of the men got into the car, demanded money and grabbed the driver from behind. After a struggle inside the car, the four suspects fled the scene. Columbia Armed Robbery A man returning home was in his driveway in the 8800 block of Goose Landing Circle when a minivan approached. The driver of the minivan asked the man what time it was, when the man turned to check and then turned back, the driver was pointing a handgun at him, demanding money. The man told the driver he had no money, and the driver left in the minivan. The incident was reported around 8 a.m. on March 18. A vehicle theft was reported in the same block later that night. Around 3 a.m. on March 19 a 1999 Chrysler Town and Country van, with no tags, was reported stolen in the 8800 block of Goose Landing Circle. Columbia Residential Burglary Someone smashed the front window of a home in the 5300 block of Light House Court and stole a laptop and jewelry sometime overnight on March 7. Two laptop computers, a bike, two cameras and an electronic gaming system were stolen from a residence in the 9300 block of Rustling Leaf overnight on March 8 after someone entered through a ground-level basement window . A resident in the 10300 block of Green Mountain Circle returned home on March 3 and found a laptop missing from his home and a window ajar. Someone cut the lock and then ransacked a storage shed located in the 7100 block of Winter Rose Path during the day on March 9. Nothing was reported stolen. Jessup Commercial Burglary Someone threw a large rock through the front window glass of Kay’s Diner, entered the restaurant and stole a Nestle’s strawberry milk and some Snickers bars. The incident was discovered by an officer doing checks in the area around 9 p.m. on March 6 in the 8200 block of Preston Court. Residential Burglary Two citizens detained an Ellicott City man who had entered a home in the 8300 block of Barkwood Court through an open door. The citizens spotted the 32-year-old man in the basement and called police, who arrested him around 7:30 a.m. on March 5. He was charged with fourth-degree burglary. Columbia Armed Robbery – Oakland Mills Road Two masked men, one armed with a handgun, the other with a knife, entered the Pizza Boli's at 7060 Oakland Mills Road and ordered the employees to get to the ground and empty their pockets. The two men removed cash from the register, took cash from employees and cut phone lines before fleeing through a side door. Police described one suspect as black, about 20 years old, between 5-foot-8 and 6-foot-2, with an average build, wearing a dark jacket, gloves, a black mask and carrying a handgun. Columbia Robbery – King’s Contrivance CVS A man stole a variety of DVDs and over-the-counter medications after entering the CVS in the 8600 block of Guilford Road around 4 p.m. on Feb. 5. As two employees attempted to confront the man, he brandished a large butcher knife and fled.
