UPDATE: Columbia Association Resuming Normal Schedule

CA will continue with its normal schedule after storm passes through county.

Update - 3:30 p.m. - Columbia Association will continue to resume its normal schedule, as indicated Wednesday morning. But, the following is in effect: Original Story Columbia Association issued its inclement weather policy early Wednesday morning in anticipation of the snow storm making its way across Maryland. All classes and activities before 10:45 a.m. were canceled. But after weak snowfall in the morning, CA issued another statement announcing it would resume normal operations, including classes and programs beginning at 10:45 a.m. In addition:

Wegmans Reveals Use for Upstairs Space

The space that was proposed for a liquor store will have a new function.

  The 10,000 square foot space on the second floor of the Columbia Wegmans will be used for various educational and cooking classes, according to a Wegmans spokesperson. The in-store events will be scheduled until Wegmans can figure out a permanent use for the large space on the second floor that was originally intended for a liquor store, according to the spokesperson. A large event calendar was posted just outside the second floor space that adjoins the Market Cafe last week. Recently announced events include a partnership between Wegmans and St. Agnes Hospital. The free series, which is focused on fostering health and wellness in the county, will be held on the second Monday of each month, from 6 - 7:30 p.m., October through June.
