Where to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2013 in Columbia

Now we're not going to tell you how to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, because that's up to your own interpretation. But we've compiled a list of places to celebrate the holiday. Second Chance Saloon  The Saloon in Oakland Mills is kicking off the celebration at 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 17. The bar is offering $2.50 green National Bohemians all day, as well as $4 Irish Coffees and $5 Jameson shots. Bruce Casteel will play live from 3 to 6 p.m. and Idle Wild from 6:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Symphonic Pops Columbia Orchestra’s Sunday performance will include a Celtic celebration featuring the Teelin Irish Dance Company as well as a tribute to Frank Sinatra. Much of the performance will center around Broadway’s greatest show tunes and songs from films. …

Here’s six local options for St. Patrick's Day celebrations on Saturday: Union Jack’s - This week our reader’s choice pick for favorite place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day is Union Jack’s British Pub. The pub is opening on Saturday at 8 a.m. with a free breakfast buffet until 10 a.m. They’ll be pouring $1 Killian’s from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and serving an Irish Menu with corned beef and cabbage, beef stew, cottage pie and banger’s and mash.
