Police Shoot, Kill Baltimore Man in Columbia

The man was wanted in Baltimore City on a warrant for first- and second-degree assault, as well as gun charges, according to police.

For more information on the suspect see the latest article - http://patch.com/A-wPDn Original Story A Howard County police officer shot and killed a Baltimore man in Columbia Thursday evening after he allegedly held his estranged girlfriend at gunpoint, said police. The estranged girlfriend reported that the man, whose identity has not yet been released, had broken into her home just after midnight on Thursday and awakened her by putting a gun to her head, according to police.  Police said the woman was held overnight as the suspect assaulted her. In the morning, she was able to escape and call 911, but the suspect escaped with the couples …

If she was allowed to have a taser, She might have protected herself. Thanks to myopic rules Howard County is one of five counties in the entire US that does not allow non-lethal tasers as a form of defense. I can buy a shot gun that will always kill someone, but not a taser.   more ›
