Howard County Chief of Police William McMahon
MG42 April 18, 2014 at 07:41 am
The Halloween shooting back in 2009, a seemingly slam dunk case, remains unsolved. Also, severalRead More botched SWAT raids leaving 3 family dogs dead were on his watch. Good riddance, loser.
Jason Keyes April 18, 2014 at 06:12 pm
After he lied about their having DUI quotas, I've had no trust in McMahon. Even after their quotasRead More were outed in a public court, he was denying it.

Attempted Kidnapping will bring the F.B.I. every time.
Dudeindacorner April 17, 2014 at 06:46 pm
And FYI... forcing the manager into an office then making him tote the cash out to the robbers van?Read More = Kidnapping
Clayton King April 18, 2014 at 11:01 am
And don't attempted murder bring in the FBI? I dunno but if the guy who shot the manager as he wasRead More driving off seems that's attempted murder js

That's strange... No comments about the inner city trash people living in public housing on welfareRead More moving to howard county and committing crimes? Oh wait.... He white not black! If he was a black male this comment section would have been full with comments by now. Half of them about Obama.... Go figure....
Marcus Aurelius April 17, 2014 at 07:02 am
it is good thing we can all just get stoned now, or take prescription drugs and drive, ever noticeRead More none of these are ever outside FOP lodges ????
Paul Hahn April 17, 2014 at 07:08 am
What does "alcohol related" mean? If I've been drinking over the limit and I'm legallyRead More stopped at a red light and a sober driver smashes into my car, is that "alcohol related"?
Paul Hahn April 17, 2014 at 07:13 am
Duh, I just did a search and found my answer. If either driver has had anything to drink at all, itRead More is "alcohol-related." Also, if a sober driver hits a drunk pedestrian walking on the sidewalk, it is "alcohol-related." So "alcohol-related" doesn't necessarily mean an accident that was caused by drinking. It is basically a useless statistic.

Who owns or is responsible for this nearby holding tank?
Jan Bowman April 16, 2014 at 11:12 am
Why is this article so hard to locate online? Is it deliberately placed so that most people willRead More miss it? And why is the photo one that doesn't begin to show the real situation? Why isn't the owner of the "nearby" holding tank identified? Who is paying for this? Why isn't CA contacting or giving information to local residents who live on this lake. What is the environmental impact of such a spill? This is not the first time but it is the worst one yet. Is this a cover up? The article doesn't even begin to ask the right journalistic questions.
Kim Cooke April 16, 2014 at 05:14 pm
Super! I can't wait for the Dominion Cove Point liquefied natural gas (LNG) export terminal projectRead More to come to fruition. We are right on track for total destruction. At least when that happens we will all be gainfully employed and the corporations will be fat and happy.
Pam Hamburg April 16, 2014 at 11:23 am
LOL, and I would never skydive *shudders*.
Marcus Aurelius April 17, 2014 at 07:57 am
But we can get stoned now, makes perfect sense !! You could always just drive like responsibleRead More people and keep your speed safe, there are thousands of people missing limbs or worse wishing they never were involved in a crash by either there own fault or the result of some balloon knot, Thanks for keeping us safe officers
Alicia Murphy April 17, 2014 at 05:26 pm
I just use Waze now can't go wrong this tells you were the cops are and if they are not just say soRead More and it is removed and so many use it especially truck drivers so here to Florida I had no issues great app

runymede April 13, 2014 at 08:03 am
This is a terrible tragedy but I don't consider Bethesda as a Baltimore suburb but a WashingtonRead More suburb. Why should this story get a mention on this site ?
ladypoet April 14, 2014 at 01:14 pm
Catch him and do the same as he did to his family. This was such a heinous crime. Who could killRead More your own mother, children and the mother of your children? A no good demon!
Patrick Carter April 14, 2014 at 02:29 pm
Find him and fry him. He should die regardless of his age. Italy probably won't help because of theRead More Amanda Knox case. I say govt should put a hit on him.

Will someone please help Robert find his medications?
Justin case April 11, 2014 at 11:15 am
He probably retired from the state department under an alias. They didn't even notice he was missingRead More for an entire week so I'm sure they wouldn't notice if he came back to work as Juan Rodriguez or some other alias. Bunch of idiots. The FBI must finally be sick of this guy embarrassing them for 38 years
Pam Hamburg April 11, 2014 at 04:40 pm
Your government agencies at work....HA! But cops can get away with beating an unarmed or mentallyRead More challenged or mentally ill person to DEATH. What a world.

Remove the footbridge connecting Oakland Mills and Town Center and we'll see the crime decline inRead More Town Center. Guaranteed.

O.K. Patch, how do you search a dead man?

I can understand if this were my son I would be right there THAT JERK!!!! HAS TO PAY I amRead More sorry for your loss truly
Anastasia March 27, 2014 at 11:41 am
What a senseless loss of life. I hope they find this murderer soon! My heart goes out to his familyRead More and I will share this so that others can look out for the vehicle in question.
Steven Spiegel March 28, 2014 at 12:12 pm
People are ruthless on the road these days. I don't understand what could go wrong going down theRead More road so bad that it would make someone want to kill someone. I have been in accidents were people have rear ended me and it didn't get me mad enough to want to kill them. I hope that they find this guy and prosecute him to the fullest . I just lost my father to cancer on New years eve and he was 84 and it hurt so bad . I could not imagine having my son murdered it would kill me !!! I hope that the family will heal soon but it takes time and I am sure the healing process would be greatly accelerated if they found those who were responsible .
Data breach at University of Maryland.
DeDe March 21, 2014 at 06:23 pm
It seems every time you listen to the news or read something there is breach of security. EitherRead More the security is very poor in stores, colleges etc. or the reporting is getting better. It is extremely scary between the government listening to phone calls & hackers getting information off credit cards we are not safe.
The Howard County Police Department said it investigated a tip that a 14-year-old girl was involved in prostitution, leading to a Baltimore officer being charged.

Castrate him. There is no rehabilitation for a twisted pervert.
Mariner March 20, 2014 at 04:49 pm
I'm wondering why the police officers photo isn't plastered all over the place. The policeRead More certainly would release anyone else's.
JaySmith March 22, 2014 at 10:20 am
Doesn't Balto City police have 20-year and out full pension, like alot of big cities? He's probablyRead More ready to retire handsomely on the taxpayers' dime -- pension of $50k/year with inflation increases....worth about $1.5M and lifetime healthcare. Don't know why Patch never asks or investigates these financial catastrophes that the private sector workers (non-govt workers) are paying for

"The reviews identified troubling gaps in DOD's ability to detect, prevent and respond toRead More instances where someone working for us — a government employee, a member of our military or a contractor — decides to inflict harm on this institution and its people," he said. This sounds like "What good is unarmed military personnel".
Walt March 20, 2014 at 06:56 am
Typical load of bureaucratic BS from the biggest butt kissers of all, military brass and theirRead More lapdogs. A six year old could give a more reasoned analysis. If the men and women of our military cannot be trusted with guns on our own bases we should just throw in the towel. If the soldiers might be armed they don't make such an inviting target.
Buck Harmon March 20, 2014 at 08:22 am
Hind sight is not always 20/20 when it comes to the government...they have a long history ofRead More screwing up in ways that are deadly.
