Open carry laws in some states provides more comfort for gun owners. But is Target's move an effort to protect everyone else?
David Montgomery July 8, 2014 at 10:08 pm
My biggest dilemma everyday is deciding which one to carry: my 9, 40 or 45.
David Brown July 9, 2014 at 07:20 am
David, my brother, please make sure you don't bring any of them into Target or Chipotle.=)

Well, making Target stores into "gun free zones" is having predictable results. Thugs nowRead More know that Target is a place to find plenty of unarmed victims, and customers are paying the price. http://www.wnd.com/2014/07/armed-robbers-shopping-for-victims-at-target/

Tons more kids get killed by cars hitting them than they do from burning up inside one. Why isn'tRead More anyone freaking over that? This happens, but it's not like there are a hundred thousand children cooking in cars every year.

Its a rough world out there and people forget. It looks like the Atlanta guy may have something moreRead More than meets the eye going on with his case. I certainly hope not but that's what the cops are hinting at. In the case of some of these people that go to bars or where ever and leave kids in cars they need to be dealt with harshly. However it seems like we have lost all ability in this country to make rational decisions case by case at every level of this government.

They must be making a good comeback because I have been living here in the Baltimore area for 50Read More years and have never saw a Bear around here . It is there country also more then it is ours so we need to stay out of there way . I can only imagine the wildlife that was in the Baltimore area before it was settled .
art doyle June 16, 2014 at 08:37 am
Steven, that is the same faulty logic that has us paying reparations to mice that roar. Humans haveRead More been in this region for thousands of years. Humans settled here when climatic conditions allowed. During the ice age, there were no mammals here to speak of. They settled here when climatic conditions favored them. Humans have always hunted until the last few decades. There was virtually no deer population in this area until recently. We are the dominate species and historically kept game in check and eliminated competitors.

What I am trying to say was before we all inhabited the area the bears probably went father outRead More then Howard County . I would not be surprised if they were running around the same ground were the inner Harbor is unless they favor higher elevations . We will never know all the wild life that inhabited the Baltimore area before we came . I look at Marley Creek and South River and wonder how great it must have been before we dumped all the crap in it . I don't believe we should have to pay for what our ancestors done but I believe that we should have to have responsibility to start taking better care of it for the future of man kind . I could catch all the crabs and fish that I could possibly eat out of South River when I was a kid and know I would not even put my Boat in it because when I did the last time back in the late 90's I had to scrub the hell out of it for hours to get it as clean as it was before I put it in . I think we should be more responsible that's all .

The main problem I see in our State is ignorance of keeping the flow of traffic going . For one passRead More and get the hell out of the fast lane . People tend to get in the fast lane and drive side by side not allowing anyone to pass causing a bottle neck effect causing traffic to back up which in turn causes people like myself to get pissed and then once traffic backs up its open season on other road rage incidents. We need to have State Sponsored commercials that tell people what a right lane is for . Also with all of the computers we have is there no way to sink the traffic signals were you don't get one red light after another . I have noticed some lights in the city stay red and stop traffic on one side when there is not a car for miles on the other road and when one does finally get to the light that light turns red stopping that car . Do the people at the city traffic light division have a deal with the oil companies to make sure we waste as much fuel starting and stopping as possible. Also what is the deal with people slamming brakes at Green Lights great for Mechanic bad for your car and people behind you . Its time to get the hell out of the fast lane on I 95 at 55 MPH Pass and get the heck over people . I don't believe there are that many people who don't know this or maybe people are just plain rude and don't care about being courteous
