Muggy, Stormy, Hot Week Ahead

Now that summer has officially arrived, the hot temperatures have as well.

This week, residents can expect 90-degree heat and occasional thunderstorms.

On Monday, the National Weather Service predicts scattered showers and partly cloudy skies with a low around 69 and a high around 90.

Tuesday's temperature is expected to hit 91, with cloudy skies and a light wind. Wednesday is more of the same, with a high near 92 and a wind between 5 to 7 mph. There is a slight chance of showers Wednesday night.

Don't expect a break Thursday, temperatures are predicted to hit 92, with a chance of thunderstorms afternoon. The heat continues into the weekend, according to NWS, with temperatures staying in the high 80s Friday and Saturday.
