Maryland Search & Rescue in conjunction with BSA Venture Crew 616 will be holding their annual Spring Recruiting Open House.
Maryland Search & Rescue (MSAR) trains and deploys volunteers in a 4-state area (Md.,Va.,W.Va. & Pa.) to participate in wilderness lost-person searches. We are actively recruiting adults and youth for MSAR & Venture Crew 616. To join the Venture Crew, a co-ed program, you must be at least 13 years old and have completed the 8th grade or be 14 years old.
Meetings and training sessions are conducted Monday evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm and usually one weekend
per month. Training can be rigorous but if you enjoy the outdoors, like to challenge yourself and give back to
the community, this might just be the thing for you.
