Goats, Cows and Hay Rides – Clark's Elioak Farm

Martha Clark has been on a farm since she was a kid. She remembers the magical feeling of visiting the Enchanted Forest in Ellicott City as a child, seeing the characters of her childhood nursery rhymes coming to life..

That same magic has become a part of her living, as she runs on Clarksville Pike in Ellicott City where the Enchanted Forest is alive and well, along with a bunch of friendly farm animals.

From April through October, Tuesday through Sunday, families roam the woods at Clark's Elioak, bouncing around on hay rides, feeding goats and buying some of the freshest produce in the area.

"We were very lucky to be able to save everything from the Enchanted Forest," Clark recently told Patch. "It was the place for several generations of families to go."

Kids can peek into the house of the Three Bears, slide down the home of the Woman Who Lived in a Shoe and say "cheese" in the mouth of Willy the Whale–all fairy tale sets that were transported from the original Enchanted Forest site in 2005.

"All of that has been moved over to this farm so a whole [new] generation of families and children can enjoy it," Clark said.

Clark says her farm has something for everyone in the family, with plenty of running space for the kids, and quality produce and grass-fed meat to take home.
