7-Eleven Gives Away Free Slurpees on July 11

Wednesday is "Free Slurpee Day."

In celebration of 7-Eleven's birthday, you can enjoy a free Slurpee on Wednesday, July 11, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

"It will mark the 45th birthday of our iconic drink—the Slurpee," said Joe DePinto, 7-Eleven president and CEO, in a press release. The company said it is also the 85th year that the convenience store has been in business.

On the store's special day—7/11, or July 11—each customer receives one 7.11-ounce Slurpee at no cost.

Management said it expects lots of foot traffic during the annual celebration.

"7-Eleven Day, or free Slurpee Day, gets bigger and more popular every year," said DePinto. "This year, we expect to give away 7 million Slurpee drinks.""
