Is there a coach or athlete who has made a difference in your life that you feel should be recognized?
Now is your chance to nominate him or her to the Howard County Community Sports Hall of Fame.
The hall of fame was established in 2005 to highlight the achievements of local individuals who have made substantial contributions to Howard County citizens in local recreational sports, according to Howard County Recreation and Parks.
Nominations will be accepted until April 15 and can be sent by filling out this nomination form and mailing it to the Howard County Community Sports Hall of Fame, 7120 Oakland Mills Road, Columbia.
Be sure to check out the biographies of previous inductees here. In 2012, local sports icons such as Dave Grabowski, who helped form the Elkridge Adult Athletic Association in 1978, Gus Novotny, who helped revolutionize the driving range industry, and Norbert O'Donnell, who took care of the grounds at Kiwanis-Wallas Park for over 15 years, were inducted into the hall of fame.
