HCC Men's Soccer Falls in National Tournament

David Neuberth named to all-tournament team despite loss in first round.

The Howard Community College men's soccer team had a short stay in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) tournament (Final Eight) last week.

The Dragons lost, 3-1, to Anoka-Ramsey Community College of Minnesota on Thursday at the national championships in Utica, NY. HCC fell behind 2-1 at halftime and fell to 18-7 with the loss.

Herkimer County Community College, the host school, won the national title at home on Sunday.

The only HCC player named to the all-tourney team was David Neuberth, who entered the national contest with 97 points. He is a sophomore striker from Century High School.

The coach this season for HCC was Stefan Draganov.
