Howard County Conservancy Hosts Earth Day Celebration

The Howard County Conservancy will host its annual Earth Day Celebration on Saturday from 9am - 1pm, at the Conservancy, 10520 Old Frederick Road, Woodstock, MD 21163. The day will begin with a bird hike led by the Howard County Bird Club at 8 a.m., followed by a tree planting, and trail maintenance and service projects starting at 9 a.m. Master Gardeners will host a plant sale and children will make an Earth Day craft. A guided hike with a Conservancy Naturalist will be offered at noon. Participants are encouraged to visit the chickens, goats, owl, terrapin, corn snake and tree frog in the Nature Center. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the grounds. Families and groups of all ages are welcome. The Conservancy is the county's only environmental education center and largest land trust.
