Exhibit- Gallery I: Interference
Explore the ways we interfere with both our natural and social environments in Interference. MICA graduate, Chris Basmajian, displays three of his interactive pieces in which your movements effect what you see. Robert Derr tackles both individual and social interference with the environment through two short films. Duo Howard and Mary McCoy use manmade debris from their Eastern Shore farm in installtions both inside the gallery and outside on the HCCA grounds. Brooke Sturtevant-Sealover's mixed-media works show a unnatural interference on natural objects.
Gallery I: Paper Redux
Paper Redux demonstrates uncommon uses for this common material. Maryland artist Jamie Bennati's meticulously rolled found paper wall sculptures accompany Texas artist Jene Laman's handmade paper vessels.
