Columbia Home Tour 2011

The Villages of Columbia present the second annual Columbia Home Tour. Tickets are $20 each and available at any of the ten Columbia village community centers. Upon ticket purchase, participants will receive a program and map to embark on this self-guided tour. Along the tour, participants are invited to attend a reception at the newly renovated Owen Brown Community Center between 1 p.m.- 4 p.m. and enjoy displays provided by Columbia Archives.

The Columbia Home Tour provides an interesting perspective on what facets of architecture in Columbia endure and what has changed to reflect the needs and style of today’s residents. The five featured homes were selected based on their diverse architecture and unique qualities. They include a restored historic mansion in Kings Contrivance, contemporary split level in Hickory Ridge, unique redesigned townhome in Town Center, beautifully landscaped colonial in Dorsey’s Search and lakeside townhome in Owen Brown.

For more information on this event, please contact Carol Hobelmann at 410-730-3987 or wlevents@columbiavillages.org.

Proceeds from The Columbia Home Tour will benefit “One Month’s Rent Initiative,” a non-profit that helps Howard County residents who are threatened with losing their housing. The Columbia Home Tour is sponsored by the Villages of Columbia and Columbia Archives.
