This run celebrates Red Cross Month and benefits the American Red Cross, Greater Chesapeake and Potomac Blood Services Region. The course will meander through Centennial Park.
Participate in the race or by recruiting individuals to donate blood in support of the "Out for Blood" race. After the race, the American Red Cross will follow up with all pledges to schedule a blood donation appointment at a time and place convenient for them.
There are prizes for runners and volunteers who recruit blood donors.

Parking: There is FREE parking throughout the park.
Amenities: Pre-registered participants will receive an “Out for Blood” T-shirt; Water will be provided at pre- and post-race and on the race course; splits at mile marks; music and entertainment pre- and post-race, refreshments and food post race.
Awards: Awards to top three male and female overall finishers; prizes to top three male and female winners in each of the following age groups: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
