Three Baltimore Orioles were named the top defensive players in the American League on Tuesday night.

Adam Jones, center field, Manny Machado, third base, and J.J. Hardy, shortstop, all won Golden Gloves for their performance in the 2013 season. Hardy and Jones both won their second consecutive Gold Glove awards, and Machado won the first in his young career.

The awards are given to the best defensive player at each position and are chosen by mangers, coaches and the Society for American Baseball Research, according to Major League Baseball’s website.

Nick Markakis, right field, Matt Wieters, catcher, and Chirs Davis, first base, were all finalists.
