Supt. Foose, Board of Education Members to Visit China

Superintendent Renee Foose and three Howard County Board of Education members will visit China to learn about its education system in November.

Superintendent Dr. Renee Foose and three Howard County Board of Education members will visit China in November for a week to learn about the country's schools and culture.

Board members Ellen Flynn Giles, Ann DeLacy and Frank Aquino will accompany Foose on the trip that will focus on observing Chinese public schools, network with Chinese educators and learn about Chinese culture, according to a HCPSS statement.

The trip will take place from Nov. 6 to Nov. 14.

The trip is being funded by the county at a cost of approximately $900 per participant, according to schools spokesperson Rebecca Amani-Dove.
