River Hill led, 28-18, at the half, but Aberdeen used a strong start to the fourth quarter to repeat last year's victory over the Hawks.

It's the second state championship in the program's history in the Eagles third consecutive trip to the finals.

Aberdeen accomplished the repeat playing more than half its season without its top player—6-foot-3 senior post player Bri Jones, who will play at the University of Maryland after recovering from surgery to repair a torn knee ligament.

Aberdeen finishes its season 23-1 and River Hill (23-4) finishes as the runner-up for a second straight March.
