The 150th Anniversary of The Civil War: A Marylander's View
Using contemporary views largely from Harpers and Frank Leslies' Illustrated newspapers, former President and Chairman of the Maryland Historical Society, Henry Stansbury, will takes us from the 1860 Presidential Election to Ft. Sumter leading up to the Pratt Street Riots. The riots were followed by the occupation of Maryland by Federal Troops, arrests of southern sympathizers, and some significant military events which impacted Maryland dramatically at the time and events that still impact us today.
