It's Time to Talk:Dating Violence Forum

The Domestic Violence Center of Howard County (DVC) in partnership with Howard Community College (HCC) will host "It’s Time to Talk: a Forum on Dating Violence."  Doors open at 5:30 for registration.

During this free community forum, participants will learn how to recognize and respond to the warning signs of potentially dangerous relationships. The forum panel will include representatives from the DVC, the Howard County Police, the Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence, as well as survivors of violence.

It’s Time to Talk: a Forum on Dating Violence is open to all ages.  Admission is free but a suggested donation of $10.00 is welcome and payable by visiting the DVC website (www.dvcenter.org) or at-the-door the evening of the forum. Interested participants are encouraged to pre-register on the DVC website. Those who register in advance will be entered into a grand prize drawing for an iPod nano.

The DVC was founded in 1978, as a private non-profit agency and is the sole provider of services to women, children and men impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse in Howard County.  Services include a 24-hour helpline (410-997-2272), counseling, residential and legal assistance, education and outreach programs. All DVC services are confidential and fees are based on income.
