Atholton High Schooll JROTC commerates 9-11

We’d like you to know about the Army JROTC cadet remembrance 9-11 ceremony on Monday, 12 Sept. at Atholton High School 6520 Freetown Rd, Columbia, MD 21044 beginning with the entire cadet battalion of 200 assembled at the flag pole at 10 a.m.  After the initial formation, a detail of four cadets will continuously read off the names of the 2,996 who perished at the World Trade Centers, Pentagon and Pennsylvania.  Each class period, the cadets will be relieved by 4 new cadets who change out with salutes and the appropriate military protocol to relieve and assume the detail of reading the names.  At 1 name every 5 seconds, we plan to read at least 720 names per hour.  All the names will be read in approximately 4 hours.
