Creig Northrop Team Ranked Top in Maryland Sales, Second in Nation

Columbia real estate powerhouse reported more than $480 million in sales last year, new rankings show.

The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster announced Monday that it had the largest volume of real estate sales transactions in Maryland in 2013—and the second largest in the nation—according to a national ranking system.

The REAL Trends 1000 ranks the top 1,000 brokerages in the country using a statistical analysis developed by The Wall Street Journal and real estate data company REAL Trends.

The Creig Northrop Team, a Columbia-based real estate agency, reports this is the fourth time it has achieved top marks.

“Our volume illustrates the number of people who trust us with their homes, an honor we take seriously and will continue to earn," Creig Northrop, president of the Northrop Team, said.

The Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate represents buyers and sellers in the Baltimore-Washington area, with offices in Annapolis, Columbia, Clarksville, Lutherville-Timonium Rockville and Sykesville.

Its sales volume last year was $484,799,958, according to the REAL Trends data.

The top team in sales volume nationwide was The Jills of Coldwell Banker, a firm out of Miami Beach, FL, which handled $551,745,386, the rankings show.
