Readers' Choice: Favorite Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day

Where is Columbia's favorite place to celebrate St. Paddy's?

St. Patrick’s day is the celebration of the death of the Irish saint, who died around 493 CE.

Often times, St. Patrick, who is credited with converting much of Ireland to Christianity, is forgotten about in the process of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. It’s believed the shamrock is associated with the holiday because St. Patrick used the plant’s three leaves to explain Christianity's holy trinity to the Irish.

Then again, many things are forgotten when celebrating St. Patrick's Day. But, even if you’re not interested in how the holiday itself got started, there are plenty of places in Columbia to celebrate it.

As part of our continuing reader’s choice poll series, this week we are asking readers for your favorite place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Columbia.

The winner of the vote may not be the reader’s choice winner. The winner will be chosen by the editor through a combination of votes, comments and reviews on Patch Places.

So where do you think is the best place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Columbia? Please vote for your favorite and share why in the comments. If we have left out your favorite establishment, tell us in the comments and we’ll add it to the poll.
