Readers' Choice: Favorite Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day

Where is Columbia's favorite place to celebrate St. Paddy's?

St. Patrick’s day is the celebration of the death of the Irish saint, who died around 493 CE.

Often times, St. Patrick, who is credited with converting much of Ireland to Christianity, is forgotten about in the process of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. It’s believed the shamrock is associated with the holiday because St. Patrick used the plant’s three leaves to explain Christianity's holy trinity to the Irish.

Then again, many things are forgotten when celebrating St. Patrick's Day. But, even if you’re not interested in how the holiday itself got started, there are plenty of places in Columbia to celebrate it.
