Your Government Takes a Holiday

An announcement from the Howard County Government:

Howard County Government offices, courts, animal shelter and the landfill will be closed in observance of the Memorial Day holiday, Monday, May 30. 

There will be no trash, recycling or yard waste collection on Monday; instead, based on the county’s “slide” schedule, trash, recycling and yard waste (for those scheduled for yard waste collection) will “slide” to Tuesday, May 31.  Tuesday collections will “slide” to Wednesday; Wednesday collections will “slide” to Thursday, and so on through the remainder of the week.

All parking regulations and fees will be in effect.  The 911 Center, police and fire departments remain staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  For emergencies, call 911; for non-emergencies, please call 410-313-2200. 

County offices will re-open for regular business hours on Tuesday, May 31.
