Approximately 3.24 percent of Howard County voters turned out for early voting last week, according to the State Board of Elections.
The rest of the voting population can cast their ballots Tuesday, April 3, in the primary. Results from the primary determine who proceeds to the general election in November.
"The turnout for the primary is going to be low. That means you have an opportunity to have a lot of influence," said , who is running for a second term on the Howard County Board of Education, during a candidate last week.
Attached is the League of Women Voters' guide for Howard County, with descriptions of all the candidates. Voters can take a copy of the guide with them to vote.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3.
