Photo of the Day: Ribbon Cutting at Wegmans

Local elected officials were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate this weekend's opening of the Columbia Wegmans.

Wegmans, the grocery superstore, will open its Howard County location on Sunday at 7 a.m. at 8855 McGaw Road in Columbia.

On Friday, local elected officials were on hand to partake in the ribbon cutting to celebrate this weekend's opening of the store.

County Executive Ken Ulman briefly spoke and thanked Wegmans for their investment in Howard County and for hiring 700 local employees.
