Martin Luther King Day: Holiday Closings
Several Howard County offices will be closed for the federal holiday.
Looking to get a pet license? You'll have to wait. County offices and certain other facilities are closed due to the Martin Luther King Holiday. Trash and recycling services are, however, on a regular schedule. Here's a list of what's open and what's closed:
CLOSED:
- County government offices
- Courts
- Animal shelter
- Senior centers
- James H. and Anne E. Robinson Nature Center
OPEN:
- Landfill
- Trash and recycling services
- Howard Transit
- County parks including: Roger Carter Center; Meadowbrook Athletic Complex; Kiwanis-Wallas Recreation Center
