Youth on Bike Robbed at Long Reach

Police said a pair of 18-20-year-old men are the suspects.


A young man riding his bike at near Tamar Drive in Columbia was pushed to the ground and robbed Sunday night, according to the Howard County Police Department (HCPD).

Police said that two men were involved in the attack, which occurred between 8:30 and 8:40 p.m. on Sunday.

After pushing the young man to the ground, the pair reportedly stole cash and left the scene on foot.

Police released the following description of the assailants:

  • Dark-complexioned black male; muscular build; 18-to-20 years old; approximately 6' tall; flat-top haircut; wearing blue tank top, cargo jeans and sneakers.
  • Light-complexioned black male; thin build; 18-to-20 years old; approximately 5’8”; close-shaven, buzz-cut hair; wearing a long brown polo shirt, shorts, sneakers and long silver chain with cross.
