Woman Hit with Umbrella after McDonalds Dustup: Howard County Crime Reports

Jessup

Robbery/ Fight

A woman who appeared to be under the influence of drugs inside the McDonalds in the 7800 block of Pocomoke Avenue was asked to leave the business and became disorderly. At that time, an unknown man entered the restaurant and pulled the woman out of the business. Outside, they began to fight and the man grabbed an umbrella from his car, and hit the woman with it in her head. Sometime during the fight the woman said she lost her phone and the man may have taken it. The incident was reported on Oct. 9 around 11:20 p.m.

Commercial burglary - Shell

Someone through a rock through the front window of the Shell gas station in the 8700 block of Washington Blvd. and stole cigarettes from the cash register area around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 10.

Columbia

Catburglary - Car stolen

Someone entered through a rear sliding door at a residence in the 8400 block of Greystone Court in the early morning hours of Oct. 10 and stole car keys, a wallet and the victim's vehicle, a Toyota Camry.

Possible residential burglary

A resident returned home to find a silverware box removed from a China cabinet on Oct. 10, but nothing appeared to be missing.

North Laurel

Burglar spotted inside home

A man spotted a masked man inside his house taking things from his living room around 11 p.m. on Oct. 10. The resident was inside his home when he heard the front door open, when he went to check what it was, he saw a man wearing a ski mask stealing things from his living room. When the burglar spotted the resident, he fled. Cash, jewelry and shoes were stolen. Police found visible pry marks on the door and door frame of the residence, which is located in the 9100 block of Bourbon Street. Police described the suspect as a man wearing a ski mask, with a blue jacket and blue jeans.

Elkridge

Residential burglary

Someone broke into a garage of an unoccupied residence and stole several tools in the 8100 block of Washington Blvd. sometime between Oct. 1 and Oct. 10.

Marriottsville

Break-in

Multiple windows were broken at a shop behind a church in the 2600 block of Marriottsville Road, but it's unknown if anything was stolen during the Oct. 10 incident.
