Columbia

Vandalism – Lilly’s Mexican Market

Someone smashed out a side window at Lilly’s Mexican Market around midnight on Feb. 17 but it is unknown if anyone entered the store.

Attempted Break-in – Harper’s Choice Liquors

Someone kicked the door at Harper’s Choice Liquors in the 5400 block of Harper’s Farm Road, but no entry was made around 1:45 a.m. on Feb. 17.

Possible Break-in – Midsummer Lane

Someone gained entry to a residence in the 10700 block of Midsummer Lane through the garage door, but it’s unknown if anything was taken sometime between Feb. 10 and Feb. 17.

Burglary – Augustine Ave.

Two laptops were stolen between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Feb. 18 after someone pried open a rear window at a residence in the 5400 block of Killingsworth Way to gain entry.

Burglary – Harvest Rise Court

A resident notified police on Feb. 18 that jewelry was stolen from their residence in the 6200 block of Harvest Rise Court sometime in the past.

Ellicott City

Robbery – Red Branch Road

A man approached an employee who was taking out the trash at a business in the 9100 block of Red Branch Road and attempted to rob the employee, but the employee fled. The man chased the employee, but eventually fled as well. The employee provided a description of the man’s vehicle and police later arrested a 55-year-old Columbia man and charged him with attempted robbery and assault around 2 a.m. on Feb. 16.

Burglary – Finest Hour Court

A large amount of cash, jewelry and coins was stolen from a residence in the 8000 block of Finest Hour court after someone entered through the front door around 8 p.m. on Feb. 16.

Burglary – Tiber Falls Drive

Glass adjacent to the front door was broken to gain entry to a house located in the 4000 block of Tiber Falls Drive. A small safe, cash and jewelry were stolen in the evening on Feb. 16.

Burglary – Paulskirk Drive

A laptop computer, jewelry and cash were stolen from a residence in the 3100 block of Paulskirk Drive after someone entered the home by prying open a window on Feb. 18.

Woodbine

Commercial Burglary – Bridal Wreath Court

An exterior front door was stolen from a house under construction in the 2800 block of Bridal Wreath Court sometime between Feb. 11 and Feb. 14.

Laurel

Commercial Burglary – Washington Blvd.

Six propellers, a number of stainless steel boat accessories and four batteries were stolen from McMillan Marine, located in the 10100 block of Washington Blvd., after someone gained entry by unknown means overnight on Feb. 14.

Burglary – Barrel House Road

Three people broke into a vacant apartment in the 9600 block of Barrel House Road around 8 a.m. on Feb. 15. Police arrested two of the men, one from Curtis Bay and the other from Laurel, who were charged with fourth-degree burglary.

Attempted Break-in – Glen Ridge Drive

Someone attempted to pry open a door frame at a residence in the 9400 block of Glen Ridge Drive overnight on Feb. 16.

Jessup

Commercial Burglary – Dorsey Run Road

Someone stole several cans of spray paint from Concrete Pipe in the 7900 block of Dorsey Run Road after the door to a maintenance shed was forced open sometime between Feb. 15 and Feb. 18.

Elkridge

Commercial Burglary – Cemetery Lane

A rear fence was cut, as well as locks on two storage containers at W.F. Wilson and Sons in the 7500 block of Cemetery Lane. Copper wire and brass fittings were stolen sometime between Feb. 15 and Feb. 18.

Burglary – Augustine Ave.

Someone forced their way into a residence in the 1500 block of Augustine Way and stole a television, a wood jewelry box and jewelry during the day on Feb. 18.

Glenelg

Construction Burglary – Meriwether Drive

Someone broke into three houses under construction on Meriwether Drive and stole copper tubing sometime between Feb. 15 and Feb. 18.

County-wide Vehicle Thefts

A 2008 silver Dodge Magnum was reported stolen in the 9300 block of North Laurel Drive on Feb. 14.

A 2005 GMC Envoy was reported stolen in the 5900 block of Watch Chain Way on Feb. 18.

A yellow Penske rental truck was reported stolen in the 8200 block of Patuxent Range Road on Feb. 18.
