Indecent exposure

Police say that on Nov. 26 at about 6:15 p.m., a man in a white van exposed himself to a woman in the parking lot of Target on the 6011 block of Dobbin Road. The woman told police that when she got into her vehicle to leave, the man got out of his van and flashed her. When she left the lot, she said, he got back in his van. 

The suspect is described as: White man, large build with dark brown hair. He was wearing baggy pants and a sweat shirt and got out of an older model white van with thick rubber around its windows.

Commercial burglary

Howard County Police arrested a Prince George's County man on Nov. 26 after he reportedly pulled a stun gun on a Mall in Columbia employee. Read more on Columbia Patch.

Someone broke into a portable classroom at Wilde Lake Middle School sometime between Nov. 20 at 3:30 p.m. and Nov. 26 at 7 a.m., according to police. There were no signs of forced entry, police said, and the screen was still intact in an open window. A cabinet and a teacher’s desk drawer had been opened, police said.

The lock was cut on the fence to the construction site at Atholton High School sometime between Nov. 28 at 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. the next day, according to police. Burglars stole copper wire, copper pipe and tools, according to police.

Residential burglary 

Two brothers were sleeping in their bedrooms on the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road on Nov. 25 at about 11:15 a.m. when they both heard people in their home, according to police. One of the residents said he heard someone rattle his doorknob, and assumed it was his brother. The brother, according to police, said he heard someone outside of his door say “it’s locked.” His door was then pushed open. The brother said he saw someone run down the hall and leave the apartment. A jar of coins was reported stolen from a third bedroom.

Someone entered a residence on the 9200 block of Sealed Message Road sometime between 6:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 26 according to police. The residents reported a man’s watch was stolen and police said a hatchet and a “pry-type” tool was left at the scene. 

Someone entered an apartment on the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 26, according to police. The burglars entered through a front door and police said there was no sign of forced entry. Three laptops and other electronic equipment was reported stolen.

A resident came home to the 5300 block of Harpers Farm Road after school on Nov. 27 and found a television and Wii game system missing, according to police. The resident also said that the bath tub was full of water and a back door to the second story balcony was open.

According to police, electronics were stolen from a home on the 5900 block of Tamar Drive sometime on Nov. 22 or Nov. 23. Police say the burglars entered through an unlocked back sliding door.

Ellicott City

Indecent exposure 

On Nov. 26 at about 8 p.m. at the Brick House Cardio Club, on the 3400 block of Plumtree Drive, a man exposed himself to a class through a glass window, according to police. 

The suspect is described as: White man, about 5-foot-8 with an average build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.  

Residential burglary

An Ellicott City teenager was arrested for using a vacant apartment on the 3400 block of Sonia Trail as a “party house,” according to police. Read more on Ellicott City Patch. 

Someone entered a home on the 2600 block of Turf Valley road on Nov. 27 by prying open a window to a first floor bathroom, according to police. Jewelry and silverware were reported stolen. 

Police say someone entered a home on the 5300 block of Dunteachin Road through an unlocked door attached to the garage on Nov. 27 sometime before 8 a.m.  A debit card was reported stolen from an unlocked car in the garage. Police say money and an iPhone were stolen from the kitchen.

Police said they think that burglars left before they were able to steal anything in a home on the 3600 block of Folly Quarter Road. A resident returned home on Nov. 29 at about 6 p.m. and heard a noise, she told police. She said she noticed the glass in the back patio door was broken so she left the house and called 911. Police arrived and did not find anyone in the home or anything stolen, but the front door was open.

Elkridge 

Commercial burglary

Police say someone used a metal tool to pry a door open at NelBud, on the 6300 block of South Hanover Road sometime between Nov. 25 at 3 a.m. and 9:40 a.m. the next day. The burglars stole a video monitor and two televisions, according to police. 

Sometime between Nov. 27 at 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. the next day, someone entered Brass Sales Co. on the 6300 block of Howard Lane. Police say there were no signs of forced entry and a small amount of cash and coins were stolen.

Someone forced open a loading dock door at Nello Wall Systems on the 6600 block of Santa Barbara Road on Nov. 28 or Nov. 29, according to police. The burglars used a forklift found on the premises to remove bundles of aluminum from pallets and then cut the aluminum into smaller pieces, according to police. 

Clarksville

Residential burglary 

The alarm system was “forcibly removed” and its cables cut from the walls in a house on the 12300 block of Wake Forest Road sometime between Oct. 22 and Nov. 29, according to police. Several rooms in the home were ransacked, according to police, and cash was reported stolen.

Fulton 

Residential burglary

Someone entered a home on the 12400 block of Lime Kiln Road on Nov. 28 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:20 p.m., according to police. Several flat screen televisions and jewelry were reported stolen. Police say there were no signs of forced entry.

Laurel 

Robbery

Police say a man was in the process of buying a car from an acquaintance on the 9100 block of Moonshine Hollow on Nov. 29 at about 9:15 a.m. when he was robbed. The man told police he had already given the acquaintance some money to hold the car for him but when they met the next time, the acquaintance pulled a gun and demanded money. The victim said he gave up the money and ran off.

A man was talking on his phone, standing on his patio on the 9100 block of Hitching Post Lane at about 9:30 p.m. when two armed men approached him, demanding money and his phone, according to police. The man said he had no money, but gave the two his cell phone. According to police, one of the robbers rifled through the man’s pockets while the other showed a gun.

Residential burglary 

A resident returned home to the 9500 block of Canterbury Riding on Nov. 29 and noticed the front window was slightly open and the front door was unlocked, according to police. The resident reported a Wii game system stolen.
