Wal-Mart Burglarized; Groping Reported on Footpath: Columbia and Howard County Crime Reports

Wal-Mart burglarized

A bike was stolen from the Wal-Mart in the 6400 block of Dobbin Road after someone gained entry to the store by breaking a glass door around 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 20.

Footpath groping incident

A woman jogging on a footpath told police she was approached by a young male, a teenager, who touched her inappropriately around 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 15. Police described the man as a black male, about 14 to 15 years old, 5-foot-5, with short hair wearing a red t-shirt and jeans.

Cash taken from garden center

Someone pried the lock off the rear door of Grandfather's Garden Center in the 5300 block of Phelps Luck Drive and stole cash from the business overnight on Jan. 18 - 19.

Electronics stolen on Calm Sunset

Electronics were reported stolen after someone broke a basement window at a residence in the 7200 block of Calm Sunset sometime between Jan. 18 - 19.

Laptop taken on Calm Sunset

Someone pried open a window and stole a laptop from a residence in the 7200 block of Calm Sunset around 6:45 p.m. on Jan. 16.

Liquor, cash and jewelry taken from Cottonwood Way

Someone smashed a rear window of a residence in the 10700 block of Cottonwood Way and took liquor, cash and jewelry during the morning of Jan. 16.

TV stolen on Dovecote Way

A TV was reported stolen in the 6600 block of Dovecote Way during the day on Jan. 14. Police reported someone entered through an unlocked door.

Trespassing at Trinity School

Someone entered an out-building on the property of the Trinity School in the 4900 block of Ilchester Road around 6 a.m. on Jan. 13. Police did not provide any further information.

Masked men rob CVS Pharmacy

Two masked men, one armed with a handgun, stole cash from the CVS Pharmacy in the 6400 block of Old Waterloo Road around 2:51 a.m. on Jan. 21 after one of the men threatened an employee with a handgun. No one was injured in the robbery.

Main Street burglary

Someone stole cash from a residence in the 5700 block of Main Street sometime between Jan. 13 and Jan. 17. Police said entry was made through an unlocked first floor window.

Jewelry stolen

Someone entered a residence in the 6700 block of Pirch Way during the afternoon of Jan. 16 and stole jewelry.

Firearms taken on Clements Lane

Firearms and electronics were reported stolen from a residence in the 6100 block of Clements Lane after someone broke a window to gain entry during the morning of Jan. 15.

A woman was in a parking lot in the 700 block of Lisbon Center Drive when a man drove up next to her and exposed himself.

Gun and knife wielding thieves steal cash, keys in robbery

Electronics, jewelry, keys and cash were reported stolen in a robbery in the 9500 block of Park Avenue around 3 a.m. on Jan. 19. The victims told police two people, one armed with a handgun and another with a knife, threatened them before stealing their personal items.
