Two Basement Window Break-ins on Copperwood Way: Howard County Crime Reports

Someone smashed out the rear glass patio door of a residence in the 1000 block of Green Mountain Circle to gain entry to the home. The house was ransacked and a jewelry box was left empty in the afternoon of April 2.

A handbag was stolen from the living room of a residence in the 7000 block of Copperwood Way during the day on April 2 after someone gained entry by prying open a basement window.

Also in the 7000 block of Copperwood Way, a bicycle was stolen from a residence after someone entered the home by prying open a basement window at night on April 4.

Residential Burglary

A mountain bike and another bicycle was reported stolen from a fenced rear yard near the 5800 block of Morningbird Lane on March 31.

Break-in Attempt

A landscaping rock was thrown through a window at a house in the 8700 block of Carriage Hills Drive sometime between April 1 and April 3, but no entry was made.

North Laurel

Attempted Burglary

Someone attempted to pry open a front window to a home in the 8600 block of Stone Landing Path, but was scared away when spotted by the homeowner, who was inside the house around 1:45 p.m. on April 3.

County-Wide Vehicle Thefts

A 2009 gray Acura was reported stolen in the 7600 block of Spreading Oak Lane sometime overnight on April 1 - 2.

A 1999 burgandy Acura coupe was reported stolen in the 7100 block of Eden Brook Drive sometime between March 12 and April 3.

A black Nissan Altima, no year reported, was stolen in the 10000 block of Washington Boulevard on April 3.
